Between cultures and books
Books were part of her life from her earliest years. Her father, who was involved in the family printing business in the Dominican Republic, brought home magazines and publications that sparked her curiosity. Her maternal grandfather’s library was also a special place for her and her sister María: together, they explored its shelves, leafed through books and encyclopaedias, and imagined the worlds held within those pages.
A life built around family
Since 1994, she has been happily married to entrepreneur Benjamin Aebischer, her partner in life and on so many shared journeys. Together, they have built a close-knit family in which their three daughters hold a central place. Kim, their eldest daughter, lives on in her family’s love and memories. Their closeness, love and the strength they have built over the years are part of the sensitivity with which Kirsy views life and approaches writing.
From nutrition to literature
Kirsy trained in nutrition, dietetics and herbal nutrition. In 2017, she published Sistema PPR, her first book, devoted to nutrition and wellbeing.
Over the years, she expanded her creative world into fiction. Her work spans children’s literature, fantasy, romance, historical fiction and contemporary novels. Although she explores different genres, her stories share a common essence: deeply human characters, bonds that transform lives and the strength to begin again.
She continues to develop new literary projects, with the desire to write stories that move readers, offer companionship and stay with them.
A personal closing note
Each story opens a different door, but all begin with the same desire: to move readers and stay with them.
